Ethanol flow management & loading system provides a means of logging equipment downtime and reasons for that downtime. This equipment downtime information is independent of the existing alarm summary information to provide ease of use for operators. When a process delay occurs, an event is generated in a separate downtime summary. A pre-configured downtime category and reason is automatically assigned to the event. Before the event is acknowledged, the operator shall have the option of changing both the reason and the category.
